Bodyline Review: L410 and Shoes 291

This review is for Bodyline's cutsew L410 in red, and Shoes 291 in dark red. I bought these for a new sailor coordinate that I'm working on, and I think that they're perfect for what I need. I'll be posting more about that coordinate as soon as I finish it.

Cutsew L410:

First up is the cutsew. It's under Bodyline's blouse section on their website, but it's definitely a cutsew.  The quality isn't the best, but I wasn't expecting too much because it doesn't look that great in the stock photos. The lace is shiny and doesn't photograph too well; however, it does look a little better in person. The shirring and lacing in the back is a nice touch that allows a much wider variety in fit. Blouses are often too wide on me, but with this I can make the cutsew narrow enough. I like the rose lace that is used as a border. The main thing that I'm impressed with is the comfort. The material is very soft and this is easily a piece that I could wear all day long. I also like that there is elastic in the sleeves, so they fit perfectly around my arms.

The photos above show how shiny the lace looks. It doesn't actually bother me too much because even though it's shiny, it's actually quite soft and doesn't feel scratchy at all. Most of the lace on Bodyline blouses are so scratchy that I can't wear them for long periods of time. Overall, I'm happy with this piece because I feel that the comfort makes up for the lack in quality.

Shoes 291:

When I first took the shoe box out of the plastic shipping envelope, I was immediately worried because the corner of the box was completely smashed in. Thankfully, the shoes were still in perfect shape. This is probably just a damage that occurred while the package was in transit to my house.

I'm happy with the shoes! I picked these ones because they were the only red shoes still in stock in my size. I'm glad I liked the style too. The color is a bit darker than how they look in the stock photos, but I think it's a really nice shade of red.

These shoes fit me the best out of all my Bodyline shoes. I've found that most of their shoes run a little wide for my feet, but these are a more close fit. I can keep the two cross straps buckled and slide my feet in by only unbuckling the ankle strap, which makes putting on these shoes very quick. The ankle strap is a little big on me, but it's not too noticeable.

I like the white scalloping details on the shoes, I think it's a cute touch. The padding on the inside of the shoes feels like Bodyline's usual padding. Another thing to note is that the ankle straps are removable. I prefer to keep them on because when I remove them my feet don't really stay in the shoe. That's most likely just due to me having narrow feet.

Here is what they look like on. The filter on the photo makes them look a lot brighter than they really are.

I hope this answered any questions that you may have about either of these items. If there's anything else you want to know, just ask me down in the comments! Thank you for reading!
